- The brief
Kasada needed a full set of CGIs to open sales for Mama Shelter Residences, the brand's first project in South Africa: images for the brochure, the website and the sales launch, and CGI for the launch film.
- What we delivered
- Twenty-three stills: aerials over the city, the street and the entrance, the pool, the rooftop restaurants, the atrium, gym and co-working, and the studio to three-bedroom homes
- Axonometric plans of the apartments
- CGI and visual effects for the launch film, from the Mama neon sign to the living rooms, tracked into live footage
- The idea
Faithful to the brand. Every finish and detail follows the Mama Shelter design team's own interiors; our part was the light, the views over the city and the life in each frame, and in the film, CGI tracked so closely into live footage that it disappears.
- How we worked
Kasada commissioned the work, and every image passed through the Mama Shelter design team and Accor's brand approval. We built on DHK Architects' building model and the interiors model, reviewed sketches, then texture previews, then finals on a shared board, and worked alongside Saentys, who led the brand and the film concept, and Iconic, who shot the film.
- The result
The selling agents, Pam Golding, report that 27 of the 62 residences sold within 30 days of sales opening.
