- The brief
Bömax Architects needed images of Fig Tree, a house they designed for Custom Built Projects on the coast at Port Stephens, long before it is built: first to present it to their client, and later for an international design competition.
- What we delivered
- Camera and mood sketches first, testing angles, light and the view of the sea through the building
- Six stills of the house in its landscape, each finished with two skies to choose from
- New versions of two views for the Architecture Hunter competition
- The cinemagraph that opens this page, and two 30-second animations
- The idea
When it feels real, it's ready. Before the first render we asked for phone photos of the site itself, the tone of the sea, the sky, the rocks and even the small weeds, so the house would sit on its real stretch of coast rather than a generic one.
- How we worked
We worked directly with Bömax's directors: camera and mood sketches, then textured previews, then finals, on a shared board with review calls, and we offered to specify the drone shoot for the site: height, position and time of day.
