Clapham House is an example of how investment into the thorough research of a target market can yield excellent results. The project, which was 50% sold on day one and then sold out within four weeks, is a demonstration that expert real estate developers sell more than buildings, they sell lifestyles.
The redevelopment of the Clapham High Street retail building was also perfectly timed to match an overall rejuvenation of a charming neighbourhood to provide what today’s property buyer still holds dear – a sense of community.
Modern design and convenient accessibility to the city make Clapham House the perfect home for the discerning professional and young investor.
66 East 11th Street, Greenwich Village is an area steeped in modern culture and history, making it a location that is hard to beat. Some of the defining moments in 20th century American cultural history played themselves out in this characterful Greenwich Village neighbourhood, with a veritable pantheon of supreme American cultural icons shaping that history right here – from Jackson Pollock and the New York School of Action Painters to Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, who called this neighbourhood home and wrote rock history here on their way to immortal fame. The great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas spent his last days here (in the pubs down the road), inspiring Bob Dylan, who lived nearby, to adopt his name.
Inspired by the streets below it, Clapham House’s identity is a juxtaposition between the revival of an old and much-loved neighbourhood, and the modern lifestyle demands of the upwardly mobile professional.
Thinklab’s creative direction to bring the unbuilt project to life was inspired by the best of Clapham’s history, the ideals of a quintessential village neighbourhood, and the popularity of today’s contemporary minimalism.
